Prepworld are looking for Yard & Waste Management Operatives on day shift
Main Duties:
- Look after all baling duties and ensure all waste is placed into the correct waste streams.
- Look after all compactor duties and ensure all waste is placed in the correct waste streams.
- To cover all outside FLT duties – this will be a mixed role of some FLT work and some Waste Management
- Safely stack full bales of waste cardboard/plastics ready for collection. – Load onto lorry
- Operate all MHE in a safe, controlled, and respectful manner and ensure they are sufficiently charged.
- Ensure all machinery start up checks are completed, and any defects reported to area Team Leader/Supervisor.
- Ensure any fruit waste tipping is carried out correctly following all H&S and working instruction procedures.
- Keep waste management area clean, tidy, and organised always.
- Monitor the Seepex system to ensure fruit waste is filling all waste trailers correctly.
- Monitor waste trailer to ensure no over-filling.
- Report any Waste Management area concerns/issues to the area Team Leader/Supervisor.
- Moving of Pallets/Trays around the Yard in a safe and controlled manner.
- Unload delivery vehicles that arrive on site in a safe and controlled manner following all intake processes.
- To drive and handle all MHE equipment in a respectful, controlled, and safe manner ensuring all start up documents are filled in correctly.
- Ensure yard area outside is tidy and free from waste/rubbish on the floor.
- Notify of any delivery discrepancies to the area Supervisor/Shift leader
- Take ownership of delivery notes and ensure these are signed and passed onto the area Supervisor/Team leader.
- Organise trays in the yard in a clear and logical way.
- Follow instructions, undertaking any requests by all Team Leaders, Supervisors, and Line Managers.
- Always work with H&S at the forefront of your mind.
- Ability to track deliveries against delivery schedules to include confirming deliveries that have come in and highlighting deliveries that haven't.
- Understand technical requirements.
- To cover all outside FLT duties
- Unload and correctly stack customer trays.
- Supply customer trays on request to the factory.
- Unload any packaging that cannot be unloaded on a loading bay and supply to the relevant area.
- Support with customer tray and pallet counts.
- Report to the Team Leader/Supervisor any unauthorised staff in your area.
- Transfer Trays from dollies to pallets.
- Use of site Radios for communication.
Other Role Requirements:
- The role involves manual handling duties.
- The role requires the use of a PPT (Powered pump truck)
- The role requires the use of a MPT (Manual pump truck)
- The role requires some use of an FLT (Counterbalance)
- Ability to accurately follow instructions/requests.
- On occasions due to business needs you may be deployed to work in other areas.

Pay: Starting at £12.81, rising to £13.87 after full training and development
